Please let me introduce you to Vann Foy. Vann is this year's recipient of the Seamus Gee Memorial Trades Bursary, Vann will be attending the The Youth Train in Trades Electrical program at DW Poppy.
This year we had more applicants than in years past. After reviewing all of the applications and having discussions with teachers and administrators Vann was selected.
Vann embodies so many of the same characteristics as Seamus, after meeting Vann in person I could tell he was the right choice. He is a engaging yet humble young man with a focus on his future.
Vann good luck on your journey as you pursue your career as an Electrician, I look forward to watching you chase your dreams!

I am very happy to announce this years recipient of The Seamus Gee Memorial Trades Bursary, please join me in congratulating Cory Lescisin.
Cory will soon be starting the Youth TRAIN in Trades Carpentry program at Aldergrove Community Secondary School.
After discussions with the selection panel Cory seemed to be a fitting recipient as he also seems to possess many similar characteristics that Seamus had as well. Cory has a passion for carpentry and this will allow him to pursue his chosen career path.
Congratulations Cory, we wish you well in your future endeavors.

2020 Recipient
Marcus Raymond
I would like to congratulate Marcus Raymond on being selected as this years recipient of The Seamus Gee Memorial Trades Bursary. It was my pleasure earlier this week to be able to present the bursary to Marcus. Marcus was selected after the selection committee reviewed all applications and we could see that he embodied so many similar characteristics to Seamus both in school and personally. After meeting Marcus in person and also speaking with his Father later it was clear we had made the right choice.
Marcus will be moving on to his next chapter in January 2021 to attend his first year of his 4 year apprenticeship in the Carpentry Program in partnership with KPU.
We wish you all the success in the future and look forward to following your career as it progresses.

2019 Recipient
Micah Dauda
Please let me introduce Micah Dauda, Micah is one of Seamus’ best friends and they had a lot of future plans together. Yesterday I had the amazing privilege to present Micah with the 1st Annual Seamus Gee Memorial Bursary.
Micah is a wonderful young man with a very bright future ahead of him. This bursary will cover all of the costs for Micah as he attends the Youth TRAIN in Trades Carpentry program at Aldergrove Community Secondary School. Once the course is completed and Micah has graduated high school this will give him credit for his First Year Apprenticeship giving him a leg up on others as he enters the workplace full time and begins to work ahead towards his goals.
This was an extra special experience as Micah and a Seamus were both accepted into the program and had plans of taking the bus together to attend the program and to begin their careers together. As an added bonus due to their close friendship I also presented Micah with Seamus’ work boots so he could take his buddy with him and they could still be there together.
